California high school football players suffers head injury while making tackle

Yet another high school football player was seriously injured during a game this weekend.

Josh Nava of Riverside Poly High School in California suffered a head injury Friday night while making a tackle during a game against Moreno Valley Rancho Verde.

Nava was placed in a medically induced coma at Riverside Community Hospital, the Press Enterprise reported. He is expected to “remain under observation for at least the next three days,” the school posted on Facebook.

Josh recently recovered from a concussion he suffered two weeks ago, sources told KTLA.

Video from Friday night’s game shows the senior safety make the hit, then struggle to get to the sideline before collapsing.
